Eligibility
Permanent HKSAR residents cum full-time students/alumni aged 18-29 from HKBU, CUHK, HKUST, COC, LU, HSUHK, POLYU & HKU with valid University & College YMCA membership.^

Programme Fee
$15,000# + $1,000 Refundable Deposit*
(Programme fee includes flight tickets, meals, accommodation, travel insurance, transportation and programme activities with YMCA subsidy. Deposit is refundable upon full attendance of all preparation meetings, completion of the trip and post trip activities, plus 80% attendance of the post-trip meetings with satisfactory performance throughout the Programme.)

1. Applicant may receive $1,000 subsidy for YMCA “Be a Global Citizen Campaign” Gold Award recipients.
*Refundable deposit upon 80% attendance of all activities (including completion of the trip and the post-trip activity) with satisfactory performance throughout the programme. University & College YMCA Department of Chinese YMCA of Hong Kong reserves the right of final decision for any disputes.
2. Applicant may receive $12,000 subsidy via the "Pilot Scheme on Subsidy to Grassroots Youth for Participating in Exchange Activities Outside Hong Kong". Please see the "Important Remarks" session below for more details.

Important Remarks

Participants MUST attend all preparation meetings before departure. The University & College YMCA Department reserves the right to terminate the participation of any individual in the Programme if they fail to attend all preparation meetings without pre-approval.

Exemption may apply to participants who are able to provide written proofs (such as unavoidable academic reasons/sick leave) in case they are unable to attend any session of the programme.

This Programme is funded by "Funding Scheme for International Youth Exchange 2025-26" of Home and Youth Affairs Bureau and Youth Development Commission.

Participants who are receiving (1) Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA) ; or (2) A full grant of tuition fees under one of the means-tested schemes by the Working Family and Student Financial Assistance Agency, may be offered $12,000 subsidy by the "Pilot Scheme on Subsidy to Grassroots Youth for Participating in Exchange Activities Outside Hong Kong" (「基層青年境外交流資助試行計劃」), meaning the programme fee to be paid by the aforementioned eligible and successful applicants of the programme is $3,000. 合資格申請「基層青年境外交流資助試行計劃」的青年應符合以下條件:(i) 領取綜合社會保障援助的青年;或 (ii) 領取在職家庭及學生資助事務處(學生資助處)下「學校書簿津貼計劃」全額資助或經入息審查的資助計劃全額學費資助的學生。
