When Toy Meets Joy – Joint-University Parent-Child Inclusion Service Day

The activity is conducted in parallel group sessions, allowing families to spend memorable quality time together through interaction.

 

This aims to encourage parents to spend more time with their children in daily life and to promote the importance of quality parent-child time.

Beyond the Barriers - Joint-U Experiential Day

The activity simulates the experiences of people with disabilities through a community orienteering exercise, allowing participants to experience the difficulties faced by people with disabilities in their daily lives. Afterwards, a disability sports experience will be held at The Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Generations Unite: Time travelling with the Elderly

The activity involves participating together with the elderly in traditional handicraft workshops and booth games—featuring both the unique characteristics of the 1960s and 70s as well as current popular culture—organized by 9 University and College YMCAs. This allows participants to learn about and appreciate local culture from different eras, fostering intergenerational integration.

Joint U Riddle Myth Night Challenge

Through video sharing by people with mental illnesses, those in recovery, and caregivers, as well as a nighttime puzzle-solving challenge, members can gain an accurate understanding of mental health, enhance empathy, and reduce misunderstandings. They are then encouraged to share what they have learned with others, working together to promote social inclusion.

Nearly 200 university students navigated around the city to overcome fun challenges to raise fund for subsiding low-income kids to join the "Ultimate Challenge" in Penang, Malaysia.

The Programme has been awarded the Champion (Tertiary Group) of the "2017-18 Best Student and Youth Volunteer Service Project Competition" organised by the Social Welfare Department.

Joint University Obstacle Challenge Fundraiser

Through completing a series of adventurous challenges on Tung Lung Island to “escape” from the Island, participants will fundraise for Sham Shui Po Ming Gor (北河同行), Principal Chan Free Tutorial World (陳校長免費補習天地) and Chinese YMCA of Hong Kong: “Mobile Classroom in China” & “Mission Until Dawn”. Some teams may also get to experience zip-lining!

The event called on university students to participate in an 8-kilometer charity run, followed by a "Positive Energy Concert" featuring performances by local pop bands and groups to promote positivity and highlight the message of living a vibrant and meaningful life. The aim was to raise public awareness about youth mental health.

Funds raised from the event were used to establish the "Youth Mental Health Fund," which supports various activities organized by our association to promote youth mental health.

“Dream Hunter”
Riddle Charity Challenge

Nearly 500 college students solved riddles to collect materials and information and fulfil the dreams of about 1,200 beneficiaries through services.

The Programme has been awarded the 1st Runner-up (Tertiary Group) of the "2013-14 Best Student and Youth Volunteer Service Project Competition" organised by the Social Welfare Department.
